Many of the issues now facing tourism and the world are outside the sphere of influence of today’s tourism leaders. The economic, political, environmental, and human influence of tourism needs to be an active part of world centers of power. The objective at hand is to bring non-tourism World Leaders with diverse perspectives (business, political, media, natural resources, medicine, etc.) to the tourism leadership table.
The first step towards this objective is to unite a fragmented industry. The only universial commonality of all tourism stakeholders is the Visitor.
The second step towards this objective is to make tourism’s economic and social impact measurable on a daily basis by the most local community.
And last, the tourism industry must unselfishly give non-tourism World Leaders a leadership table of peers, one capable of generating in excess of a billion dollars per year in grants.
