The non-profit World Tourism Foundation and the for-profit World Tourism Network provide a balance of two worlds driven by very different motivations.
The WTF owns the Brand that serves the Visitor. No one person, corporation, government, or special interest can own or control the non-profit WTF. WTN’s customer is the Supplier (hotels, restaurants, airlines, etc). The WTN will be owned by industry stakeholders. The common element that connects the two customers together is the WTF Brand.
WTN will collect a flat transaction fee from the travel supplier enjoying the business and automatically pay fifty-percent (50%) of its Revenue earned (the Top-Line) to the WTF as a license fee for the Brand. The WTF will in turn disburse grants to destination, tourism leadership organizations, and other non-profit partners for them to address the issues we all face.
