World Tourism Foundation

Overview

The World Tourism Foundation (WTF) is a globally shared Brand to generate funding and intelligence for the global tourism community’s direct benefit. The WTF Founding Trustees aspire to build a Brand for tourism, similar to what the Red Cross is for a crisis, the UN is for international policy, or the Olympics is for sport.

The World Tourism Network (WTN) is a for-profit company. WTN will coordinate the technology of others to provide a low-cost travel distribution platform carrying the “World Tourism Foundation” Brand. It will give one-half of its Revenues to the WTF for it to disburse to its partners. The WTN’s Industry Owners view measurable social impact and profit with equal importance.

The WTF and the WTN provide a global example of what the world leaders at the World Economic Forum would refer to as a “Marketplace-driven Public-Private Partnership.”
