Unlike traditional foundations which live on donations and endowments, the WTF will have an endless stream of income. It is up to the Trustees to disburse the income. Close to one-half of the WTF’s Total Grant Fund Availability will be disbursed via fixed Partnership Agreements. The balance will be expedited to forward-thinking Project-Specific Grants.

In allocating funds to Project-Specific Grants, the WTF Trustees will not have the political constraints of donors, a membership, or a bureaucracy. A unique foundation Leadership Culture is already taking root; one that is not averse to taking unusual risk in its actions.

The objective strategic intelligence generated via the WTN will be disseminated by the WTF Strategic Intelligence Centre to WTF Partners (at no charge) for their independent interpretations. All research outputs of the WTF Strategic Intelligence Centre are built under the assumption “the world’s largest industry revolves around the smallest destination.” Over twenty (20) potential outputs have been identified to date. Highlights include:

  1. A daily economic impact value of each visitor, by destination and by market segment.
  2. The employment gained or lost the day after a positive or negative event for a given destination.
  3. The measured popularity of eco-sensitive destinations and suppliers.
  4. A profile of what “kind” of visitor purchased (or did not purchased) what, when, and why by destination and by purpose of trip.
  5. A comprehensive database on the industry’s stakeholder make-up by segment category.
